Why use recycled toilet paper

Toilet paper is one of those household staples that most people don't tend to think too intensely about. Does it look soft? Is it a good price? That's usually about as far as toilet paper consideration goes for the average purchaser of this plush product.

But what about: how does this affect the environment?

As we're switching straws, ditching plastic bags and collectively trying to think of our carbon footprint on the planet, you may be surprised to realise that switching your staple toilet paper product to a recycled toilet paper can help you in your eco-conscious cause.

How is recycled toilet paper better for the environment?

First, let's be clear that recycled toilet paper is not made from recycled toilet paper... It's made from recycled office paper, and icare uses only certain high-quality paper to ensure the quality of the end product.

Traditional non-recycled toilet paper is made from cutting down trees, one of the biggest contributors to deforestation, habitat loss and wildlife extinction. Deforestation also removes one of our last defences cleaning up the CO2 gas in our atmosphere and producing the oxygen we breathe.

Recycled toilet paper, rather than requiring more trees to be lobbed, instead reuses the paper products that have already been produced (in our case, office paper) and recycles them into premium toilet paper that still offers the same softness, comfort and aesthetic of your usual roll.

Beyond tree felling, recycled toilet paper is also more environmentally friendly to produce. It requires less energy and less water to produce.

So to recap, your recycled toilet paper is keeping more trees in the world, more oxygen in the air, more CO2 out of the air. It consumes less energy and less water. Plus, icare is produced in Australia using Australian products, which means the energy used for transportation is significantly lower than many other toilet paper brands.

In a simple product swap, you can contribute to a better, cleaner, greener future for yourself, your kids and the generations to come.
